ANTHONY SALICANDRO

Saxophone, Flute, Clarinet
Tony has performed with such celebrity musicians as Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, Sammy Davis Jr, Burt Bacharach, Cher, Steve & Eydie Gormé, Barry Manilow, and Doc Severnson. His radio and television credits include "The Tonight Show" (1978), "Mel Torme Live" (1988), "The Miss America Pagent" (1979-1985), and the soundtrack for "Dick Clark's Freedom Festival '89". Tony has also toured with Ben Vereen (1978-79) and Lou Rawls (1978), and his playing can be heard on CDs featuring Bobby Rydell and Lou Rawls. Tony holds a Bachelor of Music in Flute from the University of the Arts. He is an adjunct professor at the University of the Arts and Rowan University. Tony performs with the Atlantic City casino orchestras and The Philly Pops, and he currently performs and records with the Brazilian jazz group Minas.

Gia received her BM from the University of the Arts and her Masters of Performance from Temple University. Gia is presently on the education faculty of the University of the Arts as well as Instrumental Music Director at Cherry Hill East High School. She has performed with the Ocean City Pops Orchestra, the Bay Atlantic Symphony, the Atlantic Chamber Ensemble and in various theatres and showrooms in the Philadelphia and South Jersey region, such as The Walnut Street Theater.

BARBARA BENEDETT

Clarinet
Barbara is a graduate of the University of Delaware. She earned undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Art History as well as a Masters in Clarinet Performance. Her teachers include past and present members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, and NYC Ballet. Barbara has appeared with the Delaware, Lancaster, and Reading Symphony Orchestras, the Curtis Institute of Music and the International Opera Theater in Citta Delle Pieve, Italy. Barbara is the Assistant Director of Early Childhood Programs at Settlement Music School, Philadelphia, PA. She teaches privately at Settlement's Germantown Branch and the Conservatory of Musical Arts.

Mike Cemprola

Mike has earned bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and has performed and taught in Philadelphia/New Jersey/New York since 2002. He is a regular member of various jazz/rock/R&B/classical ensembles, including his own original quartet, the Lars Halle Jazz Orchestra, Ben Schachter's Cephalopod, and various others. Having played and taught across the United States, Europe, and South America, he believes that everyone can play music and have fun in the process!

Chris received his Bachelor in Jazz Performance and a Master in Arts and Teaching from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He has performed and toured with various internationally renowned artists and has performed and recorded all genres of music. He is currently under a recording contract with TMP Records. His debut release Common Ground has received national acclaim. His second release Not Enough Space again displays his talent as a writer, arranger, performer, and producer.

Oboe
Regina is a freelance oboist in the Philadelphia area where she has played in shows, weddings, and chamber ensembles. She earned her Bachelor of Music in music education with an oboe concentration from Temple University's Esther Boyer College of Music. While at Temple, she studied oboe and English horn performance under Mr. Louis Rosenblatt. Regina has performed at the Kimmel Center, The Academy of Music and at the Vatican. She is a certified music teacher in both PA and NJ and is currently teaching music in the Moorestown Township Public Schools.

LISH LINDSEY

Flute
Lish Lindsey (Baroque and Modern Flutist) is the acting Principal Flutist of the Pottstown Symphony and performs often with the Harrisburg, Lancaster and Ambler Symphonies, Riverside Symphonia, Strauss Symphony of America, Orchestra Society of Philadelphia, Masterworks Orchestra, Center City Opera Theater, and Rittenhouse Orchestra. She is a member of the wind quintet 5 for Dinner, Lynn Welshman's Mixed Winds Quintet, and flutist with the Play By Heart Ensemble. She is also piccoloist with the Eastern Wind Symphony. International tours include performances in China and England. United States venues include Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Kimmel Center's Verizon Hall, Perelman Theater and Commonwealth Plaza, New Jersey State Theatre, Trenton War Memorial, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and others. This summer (2009) Lish will perform on bass flute with the Times Square Flute Orchestra as part of the National Flute Association's National Convention in NYC. Lish earned her Master's in Flute Performance at New York University and holds a B.M. in Flute Performance and B.A. in English with a Music Minor from The College of New Jersey.
Primary flute studies include Julius Baker, Dr. Brad Garner, David DiGiacobbe, Dr. Dent Williamson, David Ancker, and Ronna Ayscue. Additional lessons were with Keith Underwood, David Cramer, Jeff Khaner, and Adeline Tomasone. Quintet and chamber coaching sessions have been with Heawon Kim, Jeff Scott, Matt Sullivan, Roger McKinney, George Balog, and others. Piano studies were with Shirley Bachelor, Jack Ervin, and Karen Hill at The College of New Jersey. Lish has performed in many master classes and was invited by Julius Baker to attend his master class after performing for him at the International FAME Festival. She has performed for Philippe Pierlot, Keith Underwood, David DiGiacobbe, Goran Marcusson, Joshua Smith, Sandra Church, Brad Garner, Susan Glaser, Stephanie Mortimore (piccolo master class), Steve Tanzer (piccolo master class), Nobataka Shimizu, Kelly McDermott, Jeff Khaner, Jill Felber, and Dent Williamson. She was invited to perform in two master classes given by the New York Flute Club, a piccolo master class sponsored by the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia, and attended the Cincinnati Flute Symposium as a performer.
Lish is the adjunct flute professor and flute ensemble director at Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, PA. She also teaches for Wilkes University's Conservatory program. She is a faculty member of the Bronx House School of Performing Arts, Paramus Community Music School, and Musical Associates. Lish has taught beginning to intermediate piano students (private and group) of all ages for more than 10 years. Ken Robinson

Ken Robinson is a freelance woodwind player in the Philadelphia area. He can be seen in many venues throughout the region. With over twenty years of experience, he performs regularly on saxophone, clarinet, and flute. Ken has performed with broadway and television stars such as: Paige O'Hara, Jodi Benson, David Ogden Stiers, and Susan Egan to name a few. He has been teaching privately for over ten years and really enjoys working with students of all ages and abilities. Ken has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey and is currently working towards his Masters in Music in Jazz Studies at The University of the Arts.

FRANCES TATE

Flute
Frances Tate is an active teacher and performer in the Philadelphia and Baltimore areas. She is currently second flutist with the Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia, piccolo with the Lancaster Symphony, and coprincipal flute with the Endless Mountains Music Festival. In addition she has performed with the Baltimore Symphony, Philly Pops, Pennsylvania Ballet Orchestra, and the Delaware, Annapolis, Knoxville and Richmond Symphonies. In 2002 she was second place winner in the National Flute Association's Piccolo Artist Competition. Frances has a Bachelor's Degree from University of Michigan and a Master's from the Peabody Conservatory. Her principal teachers include Leone Buyse, Robert Willoughby and Laurie Sokoloff.
